Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Who you are contracting with

VocabFlash is made by Binary Business, CVR 38836234, VAT DK38836234, Denmark. Contact: [email protected].

Using VocabFlash means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use it.

The service

VocabFlash helps you learn vocabulary. There is a free tier and a paid tier; what each includes is shown in the product and may change, with notice for the paid tier.

We try to keep it available and we do not promise that it always will be. It is provided as it is.

Your account

You need an account to keep a deck of your own. Sign-in is a link sent to your email address; keep access to that address secure, because anyone who has it can reach your account.

One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under yours.

Paying

Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Prices exclude VAT. Applicable tax is calculated and added by Stripe at checkout. The total is shown before you pay.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account. Your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not pro-rate part-months.

Refunds. If you are a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a distance contract. By starting to use a paid feature you ask us to begin performance immediately and acknowledge that you lose that right once the service is fully performed. Beyond that, write to us: we would rather refund someone unhappy than argue about it.

Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand.

What you may not do

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the service, or attempt to derive its source code from anything we serve you, except where law expressly permits it regardless of contract.
  • Copy, scrape, or bulk-extract the product, its content or its data, whether by hand or by automated means, other than through your own account's export feature.
  • Resell, sublicense or make the service available to anyone outside your own account.
  • Use it to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attack the service or its infrastructure.
  • Circumvent limits, quotas or paywalls.

Who owns what

We own the product. The software, design, and the content we supply remain the property of Binary Business. Your subscription buys access, not ownership, and grants you no licence to the code.

You own what you put in. The words, notes and examples you add stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to operate the service for you: to store your content, show it back to you, and process it as the privacy policy describes. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Content generated for you

Definitions, examples and audio produced on request come from third-party language models. They can be wrong. Treat them as a study aid, not as a dictionary of record, and do not rely on them where being wrong would matter.

Ending it

You may stop and delete your account at any time, from the product.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to. If we close yours without cause, we refund the unused part of anything you have paid.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Danish law, including a consumer's statutory rights, which these terms do not affect.

Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data where you could have exported it.

Law

Danish law governs these terms. Danish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in and may bring proceedings there.

Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the product at least 30 days beforehand, and continuing to use VocabFlash after they take effect means you accept them. If you do not, cancel before then.

Drafted 2026-07-30. Written against what the product actually does, not adapted from another company's terms. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and consumer contracts in the EU are an area where the details are load-bearing: the withdrawal-right and liability sections in particular. Have one read it before you take live payments.
